The Benefits of Mindful Journaling with Marc Champagne

Reading Time: minutes

Is journaling helpful?  What is mindful journaling, what are it’s benefits, and how do you do it?

These are a few of the questions that I brought to Marc Champagne, the co-founder of Kyo—  a journalling app that seeks to help bring mindfulness to busy modern life.

Marc created Kyo out of his own need and desire.  As it grew, he was faced with a decision— should he risk big and quit a job he loved to pursue a passion project or play it safe?

  1. Hi Dan,

thanks for another great podcast of yours. I would have a question. You mentioned a Catholic practice for mindfulness. Could you please write its name? I would love to search more about it as it seems a good way to start for me. Thank you.

      1. Hi again, Dan,

thanks a lot for the link. English is not my mother language so I did not catch the term in the show but as a Catholic, I am familiar with The Examen.

Actually, I was at Jesuit (or Ignatian) Spiritual Excercises in February this year and they helped me a lot to renew my relationship with the Holy Trinity, let Jesus heal my inner wounds and more generally, move on with my life in the transition period between my corporate job and family business. I could only recommend them and plan to attend them at least once a year for a couple of days (in my country, Jesuits have 1-, 3-, 6-, 8- days excercises and 1-month excercises split into 4 weeks during the year).

Also, in this very confusing period of mine I discovered your blog and podcast and am grateful for you and what you do.

Thank you for not keeping your gifts for yourself.

        Wishing you a blessed weekend.

        Juliana
